Delivery of Products

Our standard delivery is based on ten working days (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays).

The company will make every effort to deliver coal on the agreed date, but if for any reason the company is unable to deliver then no liability whether in damages or otherwise lie with the company.

The goods will be palletised and delivered using a vehicle with a tail lift and manual pallet trunk. This will not operate over grass or gravel pathways.

Kerbside Deliveries Only:

  • Our vehicles are not authorised to leave the public highway.
  • The driver of the vehicle will assist you to the best of their ability but are not authorised to remove goods from pallets or deliver goods elsewhere on your property.
  • Delivery vehicles use tail lift off-loading, and it must be emphasised that the delivery vehicle must be able to park in the area where the delivery is to be made.

It is the customer’s responsibility to inform the company that there may be access  problems.

The driver will aim to contact you an hour ahead of your delivery to inform you of their estimated time of delivery. To enable them to do this we must emphasise the importance of providing a valid phone number at the time of ordering.

Delivery by the company is conditional upon access free from encumbrances and good roads being available to the carrier’s vehicles to the delivery location.

The company will not accept liability for damages to property caused during delivery.

Any additional charges incurred during delivery (i.e. parking charges, etc.) will be at the liability of the customer.

The delivery driver will only deliver when:

  1. The ground is flat, solid and unhindered by obstruction.
  2. Where there are raised kerbs that the driver cannot access from the roadside, the customer understands that the pallet will be left on safest and most practical nearby location.
  3. The customer agrees to remove the pallet and its good from the kerbside and understands that this is not the responsibility of the driver
  4. Where the property has a suitable driveway that the vehicle can access, and the landowner has authorised us to do so, the landowner provides a disclaimer to valuecoal.com; disclaiming any event of damage caused by our vehicle, arising from the vehicle leaving the public highway upon the request of the customer.
  5. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that there is no risk of harm or likelihood of injury to the driver, or of damage to the vehicle or its load.
  6. The must be sufficient space for the vehicle to safely manoeuvre on the road and operate a tail lift with goods weighing up to 1000kg.
  7. If the customer is not present and requests the pallet to be left on the property this will be done at the discretion of the driver and entirely at the customers own risk.

Whilst every effort will be made to carry out delivery instructions left in the ‘order comments’ section at checkout, this may not always be possible. Any instructions left for delivery are at the discretion of the driver and do not waive the standard kerbside Terms and Conditions.
